MICROCHIPPING
The simplest kindest and easiest way to protect your pet.
What would happen if your beloved cat or dog suddenly went missing?
Would you feel more confident knowing that if it was found, it could be
immediately traced back to you ?
Is your pet nervous of travel or vet visits?
Are you concerned about your pet, or new litter of kittens picking up
disease from vet surgeries?
Do you find it difficult to get out?
I offer an exclusive Home Pet Microchipping Service, which means that I will come to YOU.
I am a qualified microchip implanter, I am able to microchip your pet in the comfort and
security of your own home, the area I cover is Worksop and surrounding
Villages.
With one of our Microchips implanted into your pet you can have the security of
knowing that your pet's home details can be easily traced through the UK's largest pet reunification database.
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) has issued a statement that appropriately trained non-veterinarians are allowed to microchip dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets.
I qualified as a microchipper in 2005, and hold the appropriate certification.
I use Pet-Detect ISO compliant microchips, and I register the details of your pet and
microchip with Petlog, which is run by the Kennel Club.
Petlog is the largest pet
reunification service in the UK, and it's database stores over 2,000,000 records.
This is on hand 24 hours a day to authorised bodies such as vets, dog wardens or
animal welfare centres, who can scan the chips in found animals and trace their owners
via the Petlog database.
Microchipping uses Radio Frequency (RFID) technology and cannot be tampered with,
fade or be removed.
Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS A MICROCIHIP ?

A Microchip is a small capsule that is around the size of a grain of rice. It carries a unique identification number and is made of an inert material so it won’t be rejected by your pet’s body.
HOW IS IT
IMPLANTED?
In the case of cats, dogs, rabbits and ferrets the microchip is implanted in the scruff of the neck using a special pre-packed sterile needle. The chip is deposited into the fatty area between the shoulder blades
WILL IT HURT?
Your pet will feel no more discomfort than with a conventional injection.
WHAT IF I MOVE
HOUSE?
Not a problem. Information such as changes of address can easily be updated via Petlog's website
MY PET DOESN'T GO
OUT, IT WON'T NEED A CHIP, WILL IT?
Even though your pet may not go out, it is still important to microchip. What would happen if he/she DID get out?
WHAT DOES IT
COST?
Our fee to visit your home and Microchip your pet is £15.00 for the first animal. This includes the cost of travelling to your home in the Worksop postcode area, the chip, implanting and registration of your details with Petlog. There will be a small surcharge for travelling expenses for further afield, which will be quoted on request.
I
WANT TO TAKE MY PET ABROAD.
An ISO compatible fitted microchip is a compulsory requirement of the PETS passport scheme. We use Pet-Detect microchips, which are ISO compatible.
WHERE CAN I
FIND DETAILS ABOUT THE PET PASSPORT SCHEME?
